The feud in the family of the late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu over
the sharing of the property of their father, Sir Louis Ojukwu, took
another dimension yesterday with a top confidant of the late Dim
Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Sir Hon. Azuka Okwuosa, accusing Ikemba's
siblings of committing abomination by giving his widow, Bianca, a quit
notice from the late husband's residence less than a year after his
demise.Okwuosa, who is an ex-chairman of Nnewi North Local
Government Area of Anambra State, told newsmen in Awka, the state
capital, that by their actions, Ikemba's siblings, especially his
nephew, Dr. Ike Ojukwu, have shown an inconsequential quest for
materialism, which their late brother was not known for.
The former
commissioner for Works and Transport said that by asking their brother's
widow, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, to quit the 29, Queens Drive, Ikoyi,
Lagos home when she was still mourning her husband was a taboo in
Igboland and warned them to retrace their steps or incur the wrath of
the land.
"Bianca has not finished mourning the husband, my
mentor. I find everything absurd. The family should go into sober
reflection and they should wait for the will to be released. Anybody who
insults the wife of Ojukwu, Ndigbo will not take it lightly with that
person."
